Gotten Buffetted by the news lately?

by Mac X in Forex Trading

Hi,

Old Warren Buffet seems to be a dinosaur, His methods were great for pre-year 2000 markets… but if he had to do it over again in this century, he’d be one of those 90% of failed traders we hear about. But he really lost credibility, backing Obamunism. Now he wants to redeem himself by attacking him.

What’s with this guy? Can’t he make up his mind?

Well, Warren, welcome to reality. And thank you for calling to the attention of our fierce leader the following facts:

* Congress is now spending 185% of what it takes in – yep, that’s not a typo. It’s spending $1.85 of every dollar they get their grubby little paws on

* Our deficit has hit a post World War II high of 13% of our Gross Domestic Product

* We currently borrow $1.8 trillion per year… and we’re running out of lenders

* Our debt is now growing by 1% a month – where will it be in a year? Do the math, and shudder.

But, if we just print away all this debt with the government printing press, then Buffett says we’ll destroy the value of the dollar. And become a banana republic.

Gee, Warren, where were you when your former messiah signed the $879 billion spendulus bill? And the $400+ billion omnibus bill. And now, there’s a healthcare takeover estimated by some to cost another trillion… And the wildest thing yet about old WB’s rant: it was published in The New York Times.

Wow. How often do you see them eat one of their own?

Speaking of eating, looking at the GBP/USD in the New York session made me think of a row of lollipops in a tight descent. Or, hammers, if you will. Cute to look at. But deadly to trade.

Maybe tomorrow will bring us something good during New York, because all the real action’s been during the London session.

But it doesn’t matter – I’m just not getting up in the middle of the night to trade. :-)

Now go kick some tail and take names!

P.S.-Before the country drowns in debt, you might want to get your own insurance policy. Something one of the Undercover traders suggests is to get your account denominated in a different currency than the dollar.

Pretty good little hint, seeing as how we may soon see a rapid devaluation of the USD. This is just a tiny sliver of the tactics you’ll see about running your Forex trading like a hedge fund – but wait until you see the high-profit trading strategies!
